- REST APIs
01 / The problem
The problem
SEVN, a Bangladeshi menswear brand (polo shirts, T-shirts, drop-shoulder), needed its own online store with a fast storefront and a backend that the team could run day to day: products, stock, orders and promotions.
02 / My role
My role
Software Engineer, backend. I built the Laravel backend and the API used by the Next.js storefront.
03 / The solution
The solution
A Laravel API serves the catalog to a Next.js storefront: categories and collections, products with size and colour variants, and stock per variant. The cart and checkout calculate totals, delivery charges and promo codes such as free delivery on the server, so prices cannot be changed in the browser. The admin side covers products, collections, orders and their status, and promotions.
04 / The result
The result
SEVN runs its online store on this platform at sevnbd.com, with the catalog, promotions and orders managed by the team.
